Stayed on my honeymoon and it was perfect, excellent staff, lovely rooms, generally classy. If you want a more relaxed and less formal meal (or didn't pack a shirt) the the 'Blue Tiger Inn' on-site provides excellent food in a bar like atmosphere. Room service is available for a small tray charge and food from the Inn menu can be ordered. Pool and spa well equipped and very relaxing. Looking forward to booking our next visit.
Beautiful spa setting on Dartmoor with large jacuzzi with massage jets, sauna and swimming pool. The steam room has ceiling lights that change colour and piped music. Very relaxing. You can order healthy juices which can be enjoyed from a lounger next to the pool.

Stopped for lunch at this dog friendly restaurant. Great food with great service. Really pleasant staff. Nice and cosy after a cold walk up the Tor. Excellent dessert selection.
Booked a table for Sunday lunch for 3 adults, a child and 2 dogs. Very accommodating, friendly staff and great service. Bit more than your usual pub grub and so priced accordingly. Roast beef was good. Desserts we're excellent.

The Edgemoor Hotel is a joy...it nestles comfortably into its beautiful wooded surroundings...entering through the front door I catch a hint of the latest rich, traditional food that makes eating there so mouthwatering. It's a nice feeling here...everyone who works at this amiable establishment greets you warmly and expects to enjoy helping you, the welcome guest...
We went to the Edgemoor Hotel for a wedding and it was great. The wedding was only small with just immediate family but the staff made it feel very special. They even ensured our dog was made special too. Excellent hotel with fantastic staff. We will definitely stay again.

Local village pub. Very friendly. Great atmosphere. Loved the modern decor feel in a listed building.
The food here is delicious and presented beautifully. The pub itself is cosy and welcoming.
Fore St, Bovey Tracey TQ13 9AE, UK – 01626 833473
Large comfortable and clean room. Staff were very friendly. Food was typical pub food with generous portions, so no complaints. Breakfast was a good choice from a full ( and I mean full) English or any variations within that definition. A bit early if you are on a "chill out" break, but encourages you to make the most of your day in a beautiful area.small country town, only night life is within pub, quizzes entertainment etc. However after a hectic day, a lovely comfortable atmosphere, plenty of choice of beers etc. and then to bed! Ample car parking, no reason not to return. Thank you.
Nice pub, restaurant food is good. Prices above average but probably worth it.

We turned up at 1.50 and were allowed to order at 1.58, despite the main menu closing at 2. Superb fresh mussels in a tasty ginger based sauce, bread and I had extra chips. My husband had the curry, which was thick and meaty, with fresh coriander rice and 2 poppadoms. We had 3 pints and the total was £31. Friendly cheerful service and a cosy traditional pub room (there was the restaurant, but we liked the pub area). Well worth a visit to this pub if walking on the Moors.
Very popular village pub, with great food, although gluten free options are very limited indeed. Friendly service, but table hadn't been cleaned properly and was 'sticky'! Very limited parking on busy days.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
3 Pound Cottages, Lustleigh, Newton Abbot TQ13 9TJ, UK – 01303 239843
This was our second stay at the idyllic cottage in this equally idyllic village. This extremely pretty cottage with it's quintessentially English thatched roof is full of modern comforts inside, including underfloor heating, a log burner and all the modern Wifi and communications so necessary in this day and age. If you can bear to leave this cosy, intimate environment, the Cleave pub is just a two minute stroll away and this year the food was very good there. During the day, the Cleave itself offers a variety of walks ranging from very gentle to quite demanding with outstanding views and a feast of woodland wildlife all on your doorstep. Lustleigh is a very friendly, extremely pretty village with a buzz about it - the residents just stop to chat to you which is great. The cottage is maintained to an extremely high standard, is very spacious without losing it's centuries old charm. The owners are very keen to make sure nothing goes wrong and provide lots of information about walks and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this as somewhere to stay.
We had a lovely week in Three Pound Cottage and can only agree with all the other positive reviews. From the moment we walked through the front door to the day that we sadly set off on our journey home, we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. The owners appear to have thought of everything, making this a home-from-home experience. We visited Lustleigh to have a walking break and, from the village, there is huge variety of routes to follow. There's even a folder of suggested walks for you in the cottage. With a pub that serves good meals and a village shop that's amply stocked, it's possible to have a busy week without getting into your car. That's a wonderful prospect for those that live hectic lives! You won't even be bothered by calls on your mobile, unless you go and stand on the steps of the village church. You won't be completely out of touch as the cottage has wi-fi and there's a landline for emergencies. As I said, the owners seem to have thought of everything.

Great location directly on the moor. We stayed in The Hayloft, really well equipped and nicely set out. A lovely view from the dining table all the way to the sea on clear days. You can walk up to Haytor visitor centre within minutes, the rock, however, can take a little longer. Would throughly recommend and hope to return.

This is the estate office, not a hotel! Friendly staff, great service when required!

My son (5 3/4) spent 3 nights on the site and had a wonderful time. Hot shower, fire stand and plenty of logs to burn. I have camped at various sites all over UK and this was perfect for some wild camping. Plenty of space, wild flower area with lots of grasshoppers and crickets to find. A wood area to play in was also fun. Sarah came and met us and was helpful and informative. My son had many firsts for him bit more surprisingly I did too...sat having breakfast had a little Wren sit 3 feet away having his cricket based breakfast. As a keen bird watcher it was a sight that I will remember from this trip. I will most certainly recommend and be returning. Thank you 5 watches farm. 🖒
Lovely basic campsite located nearly Haytor which is explored in a day walk from here. Center with nice bakery and tourist Info is close. Do not expect 5star camping and enjoy this cosy place even more.
